From our discerning collection, we are very pleased to offer the nicest 1965 Porsche 356 SC Cabriolet in existence. This true SC Cabriolet was originally a California car and was rust free when its restoration was started in late 2004. All numbers match on this car as per the Porsche Certificate of authenticity. The extensive, bare metal restoration took a full two and a half years and everything is as new. Nothing was replaced! All floor pans, battery box floor, headlight buckets, door bottoms and door jambs are original and perfect. All chrome was either replaced with new original pieces or rechromed. All rubber seals are new. The rims are Porsche 4.5 rims NOT Brazilian rims. The engine runs strong and burns no oil. The transmission make NO NOISE which is very rare in period Porsches as these. The full leather interior is beautiful tan free from cracks or stress marks. The German Weave carpeting is like new. Koni red shocks on fresh Continentals provide for a smooth and sure footed ride. The Nardi steering wheel is a nice touch and we also have the original in fine condition. The car was converted to 12V by the Porsche dealership at the original owners request some time ago. A DVD documenting the car from when it left the original California owners garage in 2004 through the two and a half year restoration process completed in early 2006 comes with the car as well as all books and service records from roughly 1974 on. If you are looking for a last year 356, this is the finest example available. It must be seen to be fully appreciated.
