1968 Shelby Cobra GT 500 Convertible For Sale In Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54701 1968 Shelby Cobra GT 500 convertible Car. Frame off restoration all original interior. This car was born an automatic. At time of restoration I put a 5spd Tremec and a 3.89 gear Detroit locker rear end in the car. I kept the original c-6 tranny, and drive shaft and the original 3.0 gear rear end, all these parts will come with the vehicle in case buyer wants to put it back to original. I also put newer disc brakes on the front but kept originals as well. The car has 51,400 original miles and only 219 on the restoration. The convertible top is also new. The car has only been driven a handful of times since the restoration and is kept covered in storage. The pics show the marti report and there were only 402 Shelby cobra GT 500 convertibles built in 1968. Its a great car to drive or can be put back original to show.
