I purchased the much anticipated and sought-after GT-R in late 2008 to add to my stable of fine cars. I am the founder of BLENDTEC and the old man on YouTube’s “Will It Blend” with 330 million views. I couldn't wait to feature the world’s “fastest production car” in one of my videos. With 1.4 million views it hasn’t been as popular as blending an iPad, with 19 million views, but a lot more fun to film. That was the first and last day on the track and on the Bonneville salt flats for the GT-R. On fair weather days, for the last 14 years on commuted from my home garage to my BLENDTEC garage where the GT-R has been protected from the elements. The GTR has all the options including the Ultimate SuperSilver 3 coat hand-polished KAB paint job accomplished in Tochigi, Japan. The Supersilver paint features and additional clearcoat one of which is applied underneath the final color coat this unusual process creates an iridescent luster worthy of a show car. The final hand polishing completes the process of creating a silver finish that appears liquid. My GT-R is a premier example of this much sought-after SuperCar that has been meticulously maintained with regular synthetic oil changes every 5K miles using AMSOIL 0W40 oil and K and; N premium engine oil filters, last done on 3/7/23 @ 51,757 miles. The transmission and front and rear differential gear oil (MOTUL 75W140) was changed 3/2/2023 @ 50,680 miles and should be changed every 25k miles. The GT-R is bone stock with the following exceptions: *New upgraded discs and brake pads. *TSB clips on transmission valve body to eliminate any shift solenoid rotation. Ecutek TCM license and map scaled for Upgraded non-OEM revised high pressure sensors-GR6.*Installation of a Radium Engineering transmission filter ($180)to ensure the flow of clean dual clutch transmission fluid (DCTF).Original stock hi speed launch has not been altered and is still available.The GT-R has no mechanical issues. The only electrical failure is the LED that illuminates the shift position.*When the original front tires were replaced, the alignment was adjusted to street specifications.
