I flew to Florida, took delivery of the car, and drove it to my home in Northern California. I got the car because I had decided to have a nice late-model SUV, but, because I have so many cars and trucks, and because most of my projects involve various construction and hauling activities, I realized that I never chose to use this BMW because it was too clean and too up-scale for my activities. The car came with an extended 100,000 mile warranty and I arrived in California with 98,000 miles... I had the car checked under the warranty at a BMW dealership and they found that there were no warranty service or repair issues. I have driven the car about 3,000 miles in the last three years. This BMW has steering wheel controls for the premium stereo system and Bluetooth-capable phone setup, as well as cruise control. The transmission is a 5-speed automatic with optional sport-shift control. There is a panoramic sunroof and a rear storage area security cover. The car is due for a 100,000 mile service and it will need new tires within a few thousand miles. This is an extremely satisfying car to own and drive. I find the color combination, Blue Water Metallic exterior and Beige Leather interior, with dark wood trim, to be the most attractive for any BMW X3, or for any other car I have ever had. The combination of performance, driving dynamics, engineering, sporting luxury, and sense of safety and security easily exceeds all my other vehicle experiences... I have never had another car that I could drive for 12 or more hours a day, day after day, and be as comfortable, relaxed, entertained, and satisfied... I strongly recommend this car to anyone wanting unmatched driving satisfaction in this class of vehicle.
